We had a lovely stay in brilliant family room. Even though we only stayed for 1 night we were balled over by the standard of the hotel. We were well catered for as we are vegetarians the hotel had no problem providing a full vegetarian English breakfast! It was a relaxed atmosphere which we liked. Over all we would definitely come again and recomend to friends. Read less

Dislikes:
the bed was much harder than we like - but totally accept there was nothing wrong with it and it is a question of taste - everyone is different!

A visit for grandchild's christening. Fine weather good hotel, but avoid room 11 very early on Monday morning - refuse lorry arrives outside and grinds very noisily.

I would definately reccomend this hotel for families, as rooms like this are like gold dust! The meal we had in the evening was extrememly high quality and very reasonably priced. Read less

We liked the beds, the friendly staff and the lovely food.
Dislikes:
Did not like being disturbed by footsteps from the room above us. There was also a back-ground humming noise. Didn't keep us awake though. Didn't like the taste of the tea/milk in the bedroom!

Position in Exeter very good for stay and adequate parking.
Dislikes:
In room 8 the vibration and noise from the refrigeration unit attached to the outside wall was too noisy for a light sleeper. The windows could not be opened because of the noise.

The room was a little pricy but it was clean, well maintained and fitted our needs perfectly (kids loved the bunk beds). We ate at the hotel in the evening and the food was good while the service was excellent. After a good nights sleep on very comfy beds it went downhill a little with poor water pressure in the shower. Then the breakfast really let the stay down. Not only was the food fairly average but the service was appaling, e.g My wife ordered a croissant three time but it didn't arrive. Read less
